- What is Acne?
It is a skin disease that is characterized by inflammation of the sebaceous glands and the appearance of pimples and pimples. The hair follicles of the skin (or pores) contain sebaceous glands. These sebum-producing glands, which is the fat that lubricates the hair and skin. If there is an excess of sebum and too many dead skin cells, the pores become clogged. Then, bacteria (especially those of the species Propionibacterium acnes) can get trapped inside the pores and reproduce causing infection. Practically the areas where more fat is produced by the sebaceous glands in the skin is on the face, chest, back and shoulders and there are several factors that enhance acne such as hormones, medications, diet or stress.
